Joe Chip and The Inertials were a weird rock band that is a bit of a mystery. They stormed across podcasts and college radio in 2015 and then disappeared without notice. Sometimes known as JCTI, or stylized as "1N3R714l5," they released a "single" every other month via video (two which are included as bonus material with this album). The videos featured weird compilations of old sci-fi and horror movies, or documentaries, which led to airplay on Radio Mutation, London's Trash Can Radio, and Seattle's KGRG. The latter featured an interview with Joe Chip which went off in unexpected directions such as the Estrus Records back catalog. No one else was ever able to reach the band or see them live. I ripped these tracks from the videos and a short lived web site, lofistereo.com, which doesn't exist anymore. It was there that I found the alternate version of "Gotta Get My Fix." The art (both the album cover and the bonus art) came from the facebook page which I can no longer find, but which frequently featured doodles on notebook paper. Just odd stuff all around.
